😱 The Soldiers Surrounded the Woman and Her Baby, Certain the Giant Horned Man Had Kidnapped Them… But When the Commander Raised His Sword, the Woman Screamed Something That Stopped the Entire Army🙄
For years, people living near the northern mountains had whispered about a terrifying creature hiding among the rocks.
Some said it was not human.
Others swore they had seen its enormous shadow moving between the trees at night.
Children were warned never to wander too far from the village.
And whenever livestock disappeared, people blamed the same creature.
So when Elena vanished from her home with her newborn baby, everyone immediately assumed the worst.
“He took them.”
The king sent soldiers into the mountains.
For three days, they searched caves, abandoned roads, and ruined fortresses.
Then, just before noon on the fourth day, they found her.
Elena was standing in the middle of an ancient stone courtyard, holding her fully wrapped baby tightly against her chest.
Behind her stood something enormous.
A towering figure covered in dark brown fur.
Huge shoulders.
Massive arms.
And a horned headpiece that made him look almost like a beast.
The soldiers froze.
Then dozens of spears rose at once.
Commander Rodrigo stepped forward.
“Move away from the woman.”
The giant did not move.
Instead, he positioned himself even closer behind Elena.
Rodrigo’s eyes narrowed.
“Elena, come toward us.”
But Elena stayed where she was.
Her face was wet with tears.
“Please… don’t.”
Rodrigo misunderstood immediately.
He thought she was terrified of the creature.
He slowly reached for his sword.
“We can’t leave this thing alive.”
The giant suddenly stepped in front of Elena.
His enormous body completely covered her and the baby.
Then he released a deep roar that echoed through the courtyard.
Several soldiers took a nervous step backward.
Rodrigo pulled his sword free.
“Stay behind me!”
He began running toward the giant.
But just before he reached him, Elena screamed.

“STOP!”
Rodrigo stopped.
Elena pushed past the giant’s arm.
Her hands were shaking.
“He didn’t kidnap me.”
Nobody spoke.
Rodrigo stared at her.
“Then why are you here?”
Elena looked back at the huge figure.
Tears filled her eyes.
And then she said the words nobody expected.

“Because he is my baby’s father.”
The entire courtyard went silent.
Several soldiers lowered their spears slightly.
Rodrigo stared at Elena as if he had not heard her correctly.
“What did you just say?”
Elena pulled the baby closer to her chest.
“He is my child’s father.”
Rodrigo slowly lowered his sword.
Then he looked at the enormous horned figure again.
“That thing?”
Elena’s expression changed immediately.
“He is not a thing.”
The giant remained completely still.
Rodrigo took one careful step forward.
“Elena, explain.”
She swallowed.
“For months, everyone believed there was a monster living in these mountains.”
She looked toward the giant.
“But there was never a monster.”
One of the soldiers whispered,
“Then what is he?”
Elena did not answer immediately.
Instead, she looked down at her baby.
“Three nights ago, armed men came into my house.”
Rodrigo’s face tightened.
“What men?”
“I don’t know. They wore dark cloaks. They knew my name. They knew where the baby slept.”
Her voice began trembling.
“I heard one of them say they had orders to take the child before sunrise.”
Rodrigo glanced at the baby.
“Why?”
Elena looked toward the giant again.
“Because of who his father is.”
A strange silence passed through the soldiers.
Rodrigo looked at the horned man.
“Who are you?”
The giant said nothing.
Elena continued.
“I escaped through the back of the house. I ran into the forest with the baby.”
She paused.
“They followed me.”
Her hands tightened around the blanket.
“I could hear them getting closer.”
Rodrigo listened without moving.
“I thought they were going to catch us.”
She looked at the giant.
“Then he appeared.”
Rodrigo frowned.
“He?”
Elena nodded.
“He frightened them away.”
One soldier muttered,
“So he did save her.”
Elena looked at Rodrigo.
“He brought us here because he knew no one from the village would willingly approach this fortress.”
Rodrigo studied her face.
“You already knew him.”
Elena nodded slowly.
“For almost two years.”
The soldiers began murmuring.

Rodrigo looked stunned.
“How?”
“I met him near the river.”
She gave the giant a small glance.
“At first, I was afraid too.”
The giant lowered his head slightly.
“But then he spoke to me.”
Rodrigo looked toward him.
“He can speak?”
Elena almost smiled.
“Of course he can.”
The giant slowly lifted his hands toward the horned headpiece.
Several soldiers immediately raised their weapons again.
Rodrigo raised one hand.
“Wait.”
The giant removed the heavy horned mask.
Underneath was the face of a man.
Scarred.
Weathered.
Older than Elena.
But completely human.
Several soldiers stared in disbelief.
Rodrigo did not move.
Something about the man’s face seemed familiar.
Very familiar.
Elena touched his arm.
“His name is Marcus.”
Rodrigo froze.
“What?”
The man finally spoke.
His voice was deep and rough.
“Marcus.”
Rodrigo took a slow step forward.
“No.”
Marcus looked directly at him.
Rodrigo’s face began to change.
He had seen that face before.
Not recently.
Years ago.
On enormous paintings inside the royal palace.
A young prince.
A soldier.
The king’s eldest son.
Prince Marcus.
Sixteen years earlier, Marcus had disappeared during a battle near the northern border.
His horse had been found.
His broken armor had been found.
But his body never was.
Eventually, everyone accepted that he had died.
Rodrigo stared at the scarred man standing in front of him.
“That’s impossible.”
Marcus reached beneath the fur around his neck.
He removed a small metal seal hanging from a leather cord.
Rodrigo stepped closer.
A lion surrounded by seven stars.
The royal crest.
Rodrigo’s face went pale.
“That belongs to the king’s family.”
Marcus nodded.
“It belonged to my father.”
Rodrigo looked back at Elena.
Then at the baby.
And suddenly he understood.
If Marcus was alive, the royal line was not what the kingdom believed it was.
And if Marcus had a son, that child could have a claim to the throne.
Rodrigo whispered,
“The men who came to Elena’s house…”
Marcus nodded once.
“They know.”
Elena looked frightened again.
Rodrigo tightened his grip on his sword.
“Who knows?”
Marcus looked toward the fortress gate.
“That is what I have been trying to discover.”
Then he suddenly became completely still.
His head turned toward the distant hills.
Elena noticed.
“What is it?”
Marcus raised one hand.
Everyone became quiet.
At first, Rodrigo heard nothing.
Then came a faint sound.
Hooves.
Many of them.
One soldier ran toward the gate.
Seconds later, he came back breathing hard.
“Commander…”
Rodrigo turned.
The soldier looked terrified.
“Riders. Hundreds of them.”
Rodrigo looked at Marcus.
Marcus slowly placed the horned headpiece back over his face.
In seconds, the terrifying figure from the old village stories stood there again.
But now the soldiers knew the truth.
He had never been the monster.
Marcus stepped in front of Elena and the baby once more.
His voice was low.
“They didn’t come for me.”
Rodrigo looked toward the child.
Marcus did the same.
“They came for my son.”
